About Katalyytti-clips

Katalyytti nopeuttaa kemiallista reaktiota. Aiomme saada Hapen poreilemaan hyödyntämällä netistä löytyviä videoklippejä.

Katalyytti-clips on sarja työpajoja ja katselmuksia, joissa paneudutaan nettivideoihin, vertaisverkkoihin, kopio- ja remix-kulttuuriin ja siihen, kuinka ne ovat parhaillaan muuttamassa digitaalista audiovisuaalista mediatuotantoa.

Katalyytti-clips is a workshop and series of screenings which explores media culture online, as seen and found in video-sharing websites. Subjects discussed together will include online video genres, peer-to-peer networks, copying and remixing, and how they are changing digital cultural production.

Within workshop sessions, participants will be the online navigators seeking examples, sharing ideas, and thoughts on the above topics. Each session will include about 30 mins of searching video-sharing sites for examples, and we will watch some of these also.

Towards the end of the process, the workshop participants will be 'catalyst' curators, sharing what they have found and appreciate with Happi youth also. The workshop process will end with the event production of a publicly-advertised Clip Kino event at the end of March.

What is found and put together in the process aims to create new ideas and reactions for future programmes between different units in Happi.

Screening events on Friday evening are open for all Happi Youth to attend.
